Teachers receive training on Adobe Digital Schools Collection

All Junior High and High School teachers at Rusk ISD received training on the Adobe Digital Schools Collection over three days in June (13-15).  Software programs included Photoshop Elements, Premier Elements, Soundbooth, and Acrobat Portfolio.  Creative juices were flowing and great learning occurred that can be applied in the classroom during the upcoming school year!

OneNote Training @ Junior High

Teachers are getting prepared to use OneNote!  Teachers at the Junior High campus recently received Microsoft OneNote training over the course of three days during their conference periods.  The possibilities are exciting and endless!

SMART Board Training

Teachers at all campuses recently went through a "train the trainer" SMART Board training class at the Junior High.  These teachers are now preparing their curriculum to conduct a SMART Board training on June 9th to identified teachers in the district.

Teacher Laptop Social

Teacher laptops have been distributed!  The laptop social was held Monday, Feb. 21st, hosted in the Junior High Cafeteria.  Southwest-themed refreshments, music and decorations, a photo slideshow and remarks from Dr. Largent kicked off the event.  Following that the new laptops were distributed to high school and junior high teachers with a laptop orientation presentation provided by Linda Moon, Technology Integration Specialist.  Rusk Junior High and High School campuses are getting ConnectED !!!

Congratulations to Ms. Mabry & Ms. Oliver

Candis Mabry and Ashley Oliver from Rusk Intermediate represented Rusk ISD at the recent TCEA Conference, presenting at the Technology Application Teacher Network pre-conference held on Tuesday, Feb. 8th.  They both did a great job!!!  The TCEA conference provided a great deal of technology information, tools and resources.  Everyone from Rusk ISD who attended walked away with increased knowledge and fun ideas about integrating technology into the classroom.

Exciting Times Ahead

Rusk Junior High & High School teachers will soon have a new reason to celebrate!  Teacher laptops and wireless connectivity across campuses will soon be a reality.  Lots of prep work has been underway the past few months, and the Connections grant is alive and well at Rusk ISD.  Stay tuned for updates ...
